So they went to dinner. Another official, Tyler, came and said there was something important he needed to talk to them about. Greenberg, who was in a foul mood, asked,“Why do we have to talk at dinner?” He kept saying it.Tyler explained that the company building was on fire and it looked like the building would burn down, destroying all records. So Greenberg said,“We might as well go home tomorrow—there is nothing left to salvage here.”
